After School Care

Vail Mountain School offers daily after school care for Lower School children from 3:15 - 5:15 pm, including a snack. Licensed by the State of Colorado as a childcare facility, the goal is to provide well-planned supervision at a reasonable charge to accommodate the demanding schedules of our families. Students play outside, learn new games, and engage their imaginations through creative activities. Run by VMS teachers and staff, it is not uncommon for Middle and Upper School friends to drop in and play.

After School Academy

The After School Academy is a K-12 enrichment program with opportunities to explore such things as dance, STEM projects, French, knitting, hiking, biking, climbing wall technique, yoga, newspaper writing, bookmaking, 3-D printing, digital educational games, Crazy 8’s math, study skills, mindfulness, or building with legos, to name just a few. Five different sessions are held throughout the school year, each with different activities for various age groups. The program runs Mondays through Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:15 pm.
