Student life at Vail Mountain School is enriched with a variety of signature programs. We are passionate about outdoor education, cross-age programming, Intraterm, ski days, and more! These student-focused programs are what make a VMS education special. We have many cherished traditions, non-classroom opportunities, trips, and support for our students.
Meet Beignet!
Meet VMS's Facility Dog, Beignet! She is a purebred Golden Retriever just over two years old with a sweet disposition and is both calm and playful. She trained at Canine Companions for Independence and knows more than 40 commands! Beignet is a valued member of the VMS community and an essential part of our culture of happiness and good health.
VMS's greatest asset is its community. I am reminded of our school's uniqueness when I talk to friends who attended other high schools. They are shocked when I tell them that I went on overnight hut trips with friends and teachers, or that I got to carve pumpkins with kindergarteners at Halloween, or even just that our teachers ate lunch with us.
