Class Trips

"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." – TS Elliot

Class trips are integrated into the middle school curriculum to enrich learning by taking advantage of place-based learning opportunities. Teachers take day trips throughout the Vail Valley to supplement the science curriculum (see the snow-making trip above) and some longer trips that include The Buell Theater, The Fiske Planetarium, and the 8th grade trip to Washington DC. The DC trip is a multi-day immersion in civics, history, and politics and is a preview of what to expect when they embark on their upper school trips to Costa Rica and New York.
