2018 CHSAA Ski Championships

The Gore Rangers and other high school athletes from across the state gathered at Ski Cooper on February 22-23 for the 2018 High School Skiing State Championships. The event is comprised of Nordic and alpine skiing with two races in each discipline–skate and classic in Nordic, and slalom and GS in alpine. Athletes accumulate points for their team based on their individual results, which are combined to determine an overall winner for boys and girls. Following two days of intense competition against teams from significantly larger schools, the VMS boys brought home the State Runner Up trophy and the girls placed third.

Among the individual CHSAA State Awards, Cameron Wolfe was the state champ in both Nordic disciplines, and Michael Resnick was the top athlete in slalom. Full results are below, as are photos and links to coverage from the Vail Daily
