Coach Francois Nanin, who shepherded the boys alpine team through the season shared the following about their races: “It was an epic State Championship this year that required an epic effort from our team, which they willingly delivered. In the GS race Caleb Chicoine finished 23rd, Billy Mitchell 27th, and Peter Mitchell 38th. This was their best GS skiing of the season despite very tough weather conditions. The next day brought better weather for the Slalom. In the morning,Caleb Chicoine skied an almost flawless run. Billy and Peter went for it as well but unfortunately DQ’d. For the second run, Caleb skied his best slalom race of the year. Well done--I am very proud of the boys.”
