Presidential Wax Museum

School News
February 18, 2014- Fifth graders held the annual Presidential Wax Museum yesterday in the Common as the culmination to a project designed to teach them about U.S. history and celebrate Presidents’ Day.  Each student portrayed a different president and prepared a presentation in advance of Monday’s event. Standing motionless, similar to a wax figure, each character was brought to life by visitors to the fifth grade’s museum by a gesture such as pressing a symbolic button or high fiving the actor. Once activated, students shared a rehearsed speech about the life and accomplishments of the president they had studied.
