Habitat for Humanity

School News
April 1, 2014- VMS has a longstanding relationship with the local branch of Habitat for Humanity. The organization operates the Habitat ReStore in Eagle and uses the proceeds to help fund affordable housing that they build in large part with the help of volunteers. Throughout the year, VMS students and faculty work at both the ReStore and at building sites as a part of the service learning curriculum. Recently, five seniors: Taylor Washing, Haley Samuels, Harrison Alonzo, Mitch Saalfeld, Danny Travers, along with Ms. Blakslee and Dr. Drescher, spent the morning painting a nearly finished home. They had help from a special guest, VMS Alumnus Drew Verratti, who was home on spring break, and who volunteered frequently at Habitat home sites while at VMS.
