An expression of spirit, of creativity, of trust is best developed within the framework of one mindedness. All working for one. It evolves over years, passed on from one generation to another, just as we pass on our jerseys, at the end of each season, to the next generation, jerseys that belong to the legacy that each player inherits and shapes in their own image. This is VMS Girls Soccer. This is the meaning of orange. Bob Bandoni, VMS Girls Soccer Coach
In keeping with Vail Mountain School's mission, the athletic programs at VMS provide a positive and inclusive atmosphere where participants will grow emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Athletic programs are an extension of the classroom at VMS; important characteristics and skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, integrity, and grit are ingrained through team building, practices or workouts, and games. The athletics program at VMS is designed to serve both the elite and casual athletes. If a student is interested in a sport that is not offered, we have reciprocity with local schools to allow our athletes to participate on their sports teams.
In middle school sports, it is important to develop a player that wants to continue to enjoy his or her sport in high school and beyond. Steve Gordon, MS Basketball and Soccer Coach
Caleb Florence is such a great example for boys as they grow into young men leaving for college. He has made such an impact on our son in the few years he has known him. Caleb is a great example of someone our son would love to emulate in his life. Upper School Parent
In MS volleyball, we seek to have students learn the game and love the game! We want athletes to have fun, work hard, and improve their skills. We value attendance, positive team spirit, effort in practice, and a great attitude. Steph Lewis, Middle School Volleyball Coach
