Taft Conlin Scholarship

We are now accepting applications for 2023 Taft Conlin Scholarship!

The Scholarship is merit-based and awarded to students who have demonstrated strong academic performance and contributed positively to their community. The Scholarship is awarded every other year.

The long-term vision for the Scholarship is to provide opportunities for an incoming ninth grader who will benefit from the full, four-year VMS Upper School experience, excel in college, and ultimately contribute to the betterment of the world by embodying the school’s mission. The scholarship is made possible by a fund established in memory of Taft Conlin, a beloved member of the VMS community who died in 2012.

Those interested in learning more about this opportunity should contact Jeremy Thelen, Director of Admission for Middle and Upper School at 970-477-7164 or by e-mail at jthelen@vms.edu

The Taft Conlin scholarship played a huge role in helping me get to where I am now. By allowing me to attend a school like Vail Mountain School, I was able to enroll at a competitive college such as Williams College.

I was prepared academically and socially for the culture at Williams. I am now enrolled at Harvard Medical School and am very grateful for the opportunities that were made possible by receiving the Taft Conlin scholarship.
