2014 Summer Fitness Programs

The VMS Sports Performance Summer Camp is designed for middle and upper school athletes who are looking to build strength, agility and quickness for their upcoming athletic seasons. This program will help young athletes develop a knowledge of body weight training, free weight training, proper warm up/cool down technique, plyometric exercise, running technique and conditioning work that will benefit their athletic performance while decreasing chance of injury while participating in a sport.

Designed around a four week program leading up to the start date for CHSAA fall sports seasons, athletes will spend three days a week working towards strength and conditioning goals, with one day per week (Wednesdays) designated towards playing field and court sports. Participants may also choose a two or three week program. Each athlete will work with the strength and conditioning coaches to set goals for the summer, taking into account age, gender, sport, and current strength and cardiovascular levels.
