| | Cynthia Edgerton '10 on tradition and cross age opportunities at Vail Mountain School 11/30/2009

The quilt across from my homebase that Ms. Deverell made when I was in third grade remains displayed with quotations from students about their favorite part of Vail Mountain School. Every once in a while, I look at the quilt and find my name. My square reads: “I love VMS because of the teachers." (Click on title to read more...)

Family. Tradition. Reflection. Written and presented by Daniel Calzadillas '12 at the 2010 Thanksgiving Assembly 11/30/2009
Family. Tradition. Reflection. That’s what Thanksgiving is all about. It is a time to reflect on what we have and how we can help others. A home, a family, a great school that we are privileged to attend. Those are the kinds of things we should appreciate. We should show gratitude to our parents, our friends, our teachers for all the experiences we have had together and all that they have taught us. We should be grateful for living in a place where we don’t even have to lock our doors, and for being surrounded by beauty. We should be proud of who we are and what we do. We need to try to not take anything for granted and, instead, be appreciative by taking advantage of this day and everything this special holiday symbolizes. (Click on title to read more...)
