Learning Resource services focus on the whole child to support his/her academic, social, and emotional development in collaboration with teachers and parents. Multi-disciplinary staffings, psycho-educational test interpretation, and special accommodations occur at each grade level to support documented student needs and develop specific strategies to assist students in their learning.
Psychological support services works closely with the Learning Resource office. In keeping with the school’s mission, the staff psychologist collaborates with students, parents, faculty and staff in all divisions of the school to promote awareness of self and others, and foster independent thinking.
Services provided include time-limited counseling; crisis triage; consultation to students, families, faculty, and staff; collaboration and referral to community-based mental health professionals; coordination of psychoeducational testing referrals; in-house professional development; and presentations and workshops for students and families. |
