The school’s annual Home Tour is a traditional favorite fall event, which raises funds for the school’s financial aid program. Ticket prices include a tour of some of Vail’s finest homes, a beautiful luncheon, a gourmet bake sale, and a raffle with some incredible prizes. Over 300 Vail Mountain School volunteers (parents, teachers, students, and friends of the school) are hand at the event to usher approximately 1,000 visitors through the homes. Located in the Common, the school is transformed into a bookstore for a week, featuring faculty recommendations, family classics, reference books, books in Spanish, holiday books, cookbooks, picture books, and much more. The week is highlighted by the Food for Thought Luncheon, a gathering of parents, grandparents, and friends of the school. For more information, please click here. |

The SummerQuest® Holiday Plant Sale brings vibrant, healthy poinsettias, Frasier Fir trees, and other holiday plants to the homes of SummerQuest® supporters. VMS parent and student volunteers organize the ordering in October and November, and they deliver the plants in early December, just in time for festive holiday decorating. As the largest fundraiser for SummerQuest®, the Holiday Plant Sale indeed demonstrates how “each bloom that brings joy in the winter will help a child blossom in the summer.” For more information, please click here. |
Don't miss out on Vail Mountain School's annual Family Garage Sale, held each spring at the school. Established by the VMS Parent Partners in 1993, the Garage Sale is a community-wide event that encourages recycling and reusing. Traditionally scheduled in late April, the school dining room is transformed by row upon row of tables and clothing racks where VMS family’s outgrown, gently used, and long-neglected clothing, toys, furniture, housewares, and much more are up for sale at bargain prices. Recently, the sale has added a “designer” section, a jewelry section, and "early bird" shopping on Friday afternoon. Proceeds from the Family Garage Sale are used for student enrichment in all divisions. For more information, please click here. |
